Proverbs 22:24-25 says, Don’t be friends with people who become angry easily. Don’t stay around quick-tempered people. If you do, you may learn to be like them. Then you will have the same problems they do. Do you know anyone who is a bit of a hot head? They get get angry very quickly and their anger often isn't proportional to the offence. Proverbs says to avoid these people in case you become like them and have the same problems as they do. What kind of problems do you think they would have? Here's some ideas:
James 1:19-20 says, My dear friends, you should be quick to listen and slow to speak or to get angry. If you are angry, you cannot do any of the good things God wants done. Another good reason not to get angry is that it prevents you from doing the good things that God wants you to.
