When life is too much and you are overwhelmed try these three things and I guarantee it will lift you out of your despair. It works for me every time. 1. Read the Word - try Psalm 28:6-8 Bless the Lord because he has listened to my request for mercy! The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts him. I was helped, my heart rejoiced, and I thank him with my song. The Lord is his people’s strength; he is a fortress of protection for his anointed one. 2. Listen to some worship music - try Elevation, Hillsong or Bethel (I love King of my Heart - see below). 3. Pray - tell God your problems, ask him for forgiveness and for help. Here is another Bible Verse Colour In from http://timewarpwife.com. Colouring in is therapeutic and meditating on the Word is spiritually beneficial.
Kari Kampakis has an article on 20 Tips to Help Your Teen Use Social Media Wisely. Although it is written for parents, the tips are written for teens. I particularly like the suggestion to be thick skinned and tender-hearted when using social media. People post things they would never say to your face on social media and girls can be cruel and vindictive. Remember who you are in Christ and let those nasty comments run off you like water off a duck's back (ducks feathers are waterproof so that water runs off them). The Bible has a lot to say about our words (that includes what we type). James 3:8-9 says, no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God's likeness.
