Sure, we don't all marry princes and live in castles, but we do have something in common with Cinderella, Belle and their peers - we will have trouble in our lives.

Life really is like a fairytale. If you grew up watching Disney movies like me, then you probably dreamed of marrying a prince and living happily ever after. The prince thing isn't guaranteed, but if you love Jesus, the happily ever after is. Revelation 7:17 says, For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be tears on earth, but when Jesus comes again, he will wipe them away. Our happy ending is eternal life with God.
Cinderella was basically a maid for her stepmother and stepsisters. It doesn't matter where you start, you can still have a happy ending. Romans 8:28 says We know that God makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are chosen to be a part of His plan. Even though life will throw you some difficult times, God promises that he is working for your good. Sometimes you have to wait for things to turn around. Joseph from the Old Testament was sold as a slave by his brothers, then he was wrongfully accused of assault and thrown into prison, but he became second in charge in Egypt. No matter how long you have to wait, the ultimate good thing, eternal life with God, is waiting for you.
