2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
I am grateful for the Bible—it's God's instruction book for us. It is full of words to challenge, encourage, and transform us. It's a love story of God's love for us.

Ephesians 2:4 says that, God is rich in mercy, and he loved us very much.
Here are some Bible verses that tell us how much God loves us: His love is so great it can't be understood Ephesians 3:18-19 And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love. I pray that you can understand how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is. Christ’s love is greater than any person can ever know. But I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with the fullness of God. We can't be separated from his love Romans 8:38-39 Yes, I am sure that nothing can separate us from the love God has for us. Not death, not life, not angels, not ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, or anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. He gave us hope and comfort 2 Thessalonians 2:17 God loved us. Through his grace he gave us a good hope and comfort that continues forever. He adopted us as children 1 John 3:1 The Father has loved us so much! He loved us so much that we are called children of God. He sent Jesus to die for us 1 John 4:9 This is how God showed his love to us: He sent his only Son into the world to give us life through him. His love takes away fear 1 John 4:18 Where God’s love is, there is no fear, because God’s perfect love takes away fear. God loves us unconditionally. There is nothing that you can do to make him love you more, and nothing you can do that will make him love you less. You are loved—full stop! Who are the friends that you are grateful for? If you are in a lean season in the friend department, you can be thankful for Jesus, the friend that sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24).
Ephesians 1:11 says, In Christ we were chosen to be God's people. Being a Christian involves you choosing God, and God choosing you. It's a bit like getting married—the bride and groom choose each other.
1 Peter 2:9 says, But you are his chosen people, the King’s priests. You are a holy nation, people who belong to God. He chose you to tell about the wonderful things he has done. He brought you out of the darkness of sin into his wonderful light. You are chosen for a purpose. The verse above says that you are chosen to be:
God has chosen you for a purpose and a plan. In general, it is to love God and to love others. I believe he also has specific things for you to do. He will reveal these to you at the right time—you just need to be ready to listen. How can you love God today? How can you love others today? What else has God chosen you to do? Right after Jesus told his disciples to go into all the world and make disciples he said, Teach them to do everything I have commanded you. And remember that I am always with you until the end of time. He was about to leave the earth physically, but he said that he was always going to be with them. That's like someone says 'I'll never leave you' as they walk out the door. Jesus didn't mean that he would always physically be with them, but that his Holy Spirit would always be with them. John 14:16-17 says, I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper who will be with you forever. That helper is the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept him, because it doesn’t see or know him. You know him, because he lives with you and will be in you.
God loves you so much that he sent his Son to be a man and die in your place. When Jesus returned to his Father God sent his Holy Spirit. Jesus lived with us, but his Holy Spirit lives in us. The Holy Spirit comforts, guides, convicts and intercedes for us. |
