Ephesians 5:1-2 says, You are God’s dear children, so try to be like him. Live a life of love. Love others just as Christ loved us. He gave himself for us—a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.
The whole point of the the gospel is love - God's love for us and our love for him and others. John 13:34-35 says, But I am giving you a new command. You must love each other, just as I have loved you. If you love each other, everyone will know that you are my disciples.
How do you think you score in the love department?
Do you love your family?
Do you love people who are hard to love?
Do you love your enemies?
Do you love people like Jesus does?
It's impossible to love people like Jesus does in your own strength. I have found that praying for people helps me to love them more. It also helps if you try to put yourself in someone their shoes.
Challenge: This week try to love people more.
