Matthew 6:25-34 is part of the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus was instructing his followers not to worry about what they will eat or drink or wear (we'll call them the cares of the world). A modern paraphrase of this passage could be, Do not worry about what you will wear, whether you have the latest iPhone, what university you will go to and what degree you will study, if you will get a job, the guy you will date and one day marry, where you will live, your weight, hair colour or style...
Verses 33-34 say, But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
I like the way the Contemporary English Version puts it: But more than anything else, put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well. Don't worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today.
