Our passion for God seems out of proportion to our passion for other things like, boys, music, celebrities, sport. If you go a sporting event or a concert you see thousands of people yelling, singing, jumping around and raising their hands. When you go to church on Sunday, you may see a lot of people who are relatively unenthusiastic in their praise of the Creator of the Universe and Saviour of the World. According to 2 Samuel 6:14, David returned the Ark (the Ark of the Covenant which symbolised the presence of God) to Jerusalem. He was so excited he was dancing before the Lord with all his might. Dancing was a usual expression of rejoicing, but it was only done by the women. David didn't care what everyone else thought. Is your praise inhibited by worrying about what other people think?
